Mums expecting twins are more likely to give birth

Mums expecting twins are more likely to give birth early (more than 60% of twins are born prematurely), with the average twin pregnancy supposedly lasting 35 weeks.

I had my boys at 36 weeks, the original plan was to have them at 37 weeks but a few things happened to need to bring that forward. I had a C-Section but ended up being moved to a different hospital to have it there (another story).

How many weeks along were you when you had your twins? Anyone else felt they used to want to ask everyone this to try and prepare..haha.

This post is for all you mums in the 3am club, and scrolling during or after the night feeds, snuggling a teething baby or maybe awake from settling your toddler after a bad dream (and now can't sleep yourself!). And most likely you will soon make another Amazon purchase... It's exhausting isn't it!

I remember feeling like I was the only one up at this time, like the rest of the world was sleeping, while I was feeding, burping and changing two babies. I missed sleeping peacefully and wondered if I would sleep 8 hours ever again!

But I wanted to let you know that although you can't see them there are a whole group of mums all up at the same time, experiencing just what you are. And it really does get better, I still miss sleep, and have night wakings, but it gets alot easier and then strangely you start to miss those late night cuddles. As they get older I start to realise them needing us through the night is something we may just miss. Sending you all love and I hope this blue Monday hasn't been to difficult. Why not say hi and see who else is up now :)
